It produces highlights and shadows that your camera can deal with more easily than the extremely contrasty light produced by the high midday sun.

The golden hours are from 7-8:30am and from 5-6:30pm

light has a more warmer and more attractive colour than midday ,light quality is softer and produces highlights and shadows ,and light is directional and that provides interesting side lighting that can emphasize shape and texture.

It can constantly block and diffuse the warm evening sun

There different because in one picture the clouds are completely covering the sun and in the other the sun is breaking through.this all happened because of the magic hour.
